happy holidays

My side hurts from laughing so much; my cousin has grown up into a spitting image of Batgirl poster for Christmas.
I’ve missed my family.
And now, my grandmother’s house plus wireless internet: a++. The 21st century has come to the boondocks; it’s a small and pleasant miracle.

I am buried in books. There are far too many to sort through, and it’s just a month or two worth piled up. Argh. They have taken over my desk and are threatening grevious bodily harm… seriously, people, being a librarian is not so fun when it KILLS YOU, now is it?

Last presentation of the year: finished! Hurrah.
Good: taking the day off work; presentation well-received; spending the afternoon shopping in San Francisco with my colleague afterwards; taking the train into the city with no mishaps.
Bad: my favorite dress slacks ripping in the seat (after the presentation, thank god) — probably unmendable; getting up at [...]
