but Creative Commons is also holding a fund drive. There’s a message floating around on the intarweb (https://mx2.arl.org/Lists/SPARC-OAForum/Message/2647.html) that CC may lose its IRS standing without more public donations. At any rate, it’s a good cause; they’ve done so much work to make scholarly communication/open source/free licensing a reality. SixApart, LJ’s parent company, is matching contribs as well.
