WP Hijinks
I cannot believe that Wonderbra is on the front page of Wikipedia right now. Oh community of mine,* what the hell?
I love the site and all, but: “Persepolis” is an unreferenced mess, “Roman Forum” is stubby (and also unreferenced), and “Belgrade” is up for removal as a featured article, and Wonderbra makes the cut for the main page? Jesus.
It’s a won-derful Internet.

I love how the 21st century has hijacked the word stubby.
seriously.
BTW, I befriended you because of. Your archives are sheer genius. Good luck with the internship and not being attacked by your laundry. That’s dangerous shit, what with the woolite and stain removers and all; there could be a revolt.
The length and breadth of the “lightsaber” and related entries are the shame of Wikipedia. Don’t get me wrong — interesting, wonderful stuff, and I’m glad someone’s spending time on it, but… man it’s long. And lotsa other stuff has NOTHING or is really stubby. And I’m increasingly encountering students for whom, despite every well-meaning teacher’s or librarian’s best efforts, Wikipedia is THE place to go for resource material if the instructor doesn’t specify scholarly/peer-reviewed.
You’re so sweet!
Thank you.
The internship is a bit of a bear.
I find it hard to decline tasks, which means my workload is mammoth.
Which is where you teach everyone how to evaluate Wikipedia articles and walk away the hero
I am working on handouts.
And lightsabers are important, dude!* Though a lot of it likely belongs here.
Maybe they’re thumbing their noses at Michael Gorman?
A bit like using barrels of fish for target practice, that, but still…
Then it’s really time to break out the Woolite.
Also, I think the goal of internships is to overwork the interns “because we can.”
Nah, it just got put up in rotation because it’s a featured article. Here’s where the main page articles are listed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Today%27s_featured_article
That’s abominable!
What a scandal!
