PIE
huzzah! I don’t have to catch my plane for another hour. So in honor of Thanksgiving and all its best parts, please vote in the PIE poll. Vote for as many as you please. If you do not like pie at all, first off I am not sure I can be friends with you anymore, but second off please note that in the comments.
I am not voting because I like them ALL. I have never met a pie I didn’t get along with.

Mmmmm PIE!
nice icon!
I guess I should take that back. I don’t like banana cream pie very much. Hence not appearing in the poll.
I’ll still eat it if it’s *good* banana cream, though.
Other more obscure options: sweet potato, walnut, pear or plum tart (mmm), black bottom, custard!*, mince, rhubarb!,** peanut butter (which I am also not super fond of)… and so on.
* how could I have forgotten custard? jees louise.
** ditto
my mother-in-law’s strawberry rhubarb pie . . . mmmm
I’ve had rhubarb that was like solidified acid in crust, and then I’ve had a strawberry rhubarb that was so good it ruined all other berry pies for me. I find this to be a lot more hit and miss than, say, pumpkin pie, but holy mother of all that is holy, rhubarb can be delicious.
I never met a pie that I didn’t like, but the three I checked are favorites.
I like strawberry rhubarb, too—when, as noted, it’s done right.
YUM PIE OMGZORS PIE!!!1
Also, “Taco Pie.” Mmm-mmm good. Then there’s the often described but rarely eaten “Frito Pie,” which involves fritos and canned chili.
MMMMMPIE! I like all of those you listed except strawberry (though with rhubarb might be good!), buttermilk/shoofly, and key lime (only ’cause I’ve never had them).
YOU HAVE NEVER EATEN KEY LIME PIE
…
hmm. someday this will have to be remedied.
Oh, man, strawberry rhubarb pie, freshly made with rhubarb from the garden & good strawberries — man oh man that is good stuff.
ALRIGHT Southerners, where are the votes for buttermilk pie?!?
Key Lime Pie is tha bomb, when done properly. I’ve had soggy Key Lime, though, and it’s made me suspicious.
One day I will try cocoanut, as my sweetie is partial to them.
Is buttermilk like custard without first cooking the custard?
I looked at the ingredients and they look sooo similar…
I like sweet potato the best of all; especially made out of fresh sweet potatoes that are actually sweet tasting.
PIE LOVE!!!!!!!
i also consider cheesecake to be in the PIE FAMILY.
She picks fresh strawberries and grows her own rhubarb. Very yummy.
Eaten out of a Frito bag!
key lime (only ’cause I’ve never had them)
ZOUNDS! This must be remedied.
I think I might try making a key lime pie, next.
a long time ago, The Onion had an article entitled “Beer! It Kicks Ass!”
I think the same can be said about PIE!
I second this! Cake is clearly inferior to the awesomeness of PIE. Cheesecake, being awesome too, is pie.
forget not the merits of mince-meat pie (not usually made with any actually meat these days). oh, and banana cream isn’t bad.
I am, on the whole, entirely with you in the loving and any and all pie, though i will generally pass on coconut.
